When we met, we knew that we connected on a level of pain and resilience. We felt it in each other. Two strangers bonded by a feeling of a shared relentlessness. Survivors of intimate partner abuse. Fighters. Alive. A full on triumph of the human spirit. We knew immediately our why: we had to speak up. Our voices were made for impact. Our voices would be healing. Our voices will break the shame and silence so many carry. We will live with intention. Let go of the fear. You have what it takes.
